As one of the leading companies in the industry, Ausnutria Australia upholds its corporate core values and works closely with its group companies to creating a shared value with the bushfire affected communities. Having expertise and forte in the dairy and nutritional supplements industry, the group extended both financial and Lung-health product support to the affected communities. 

The Group currently raised awareness and donations to aid in bushfire relief funds. Australia experienced an unprecedented bushfire crisis starting in late 2019, and the situation swiftly got worse before rains helped contain many of the worst fires in February 2020. The stories of human and wildlife suffering, loss to life and property is devastating.  Approx. 25.5 million acres of land, has burned. At least 33 people are dead, and more are missing. More than 1 billion wildlife has been estimated to have lost their lives. Around 3,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged. Thousands of people were forced to evacuate and seek shelter on beaches across New South Wales and Victoria. The smoke became another disaster and Australia recorded the worst pollution it’s ever seen, with an air quality index 23 times higher than what’s considered “hazardous.” 

Just like no man is an island, no endeavor is accomplished alone. And so, the whole nation plunged into freely giving and sharing with bushfire affected communities and wildlife organizations aiming to get some normalcy back into their lives at the earliest possible.

Ausnutria Australia, took a dual approach:-

• Its nutrition business donated lung tonic at bushfire affected area pharmacies to be distributed free of cost to relieve symptoms of smoke inhalation such as cough and lung irritation.
• Ausnutria Australia, launched a fund-raising campaign- “Reaching Out” and as a group raised $50,000.00 to be donated to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF).

GERF is a registered charity that was established in 1978 to provide immediate short-term funds to Gippslanders affected by natural disaster events. A decision to donate to GERF was to enable Ausnutria Australia in living up to its commitment to the farmers, local businesses and communities in general in one of the highest bushfire affected area in the state of Victoria, where Ausnutria Australia is head-quartered.
